Thai Iced Tea (Cha Yen)

ชาเย็น (DN)chaa yen

Central Thailand · Drink

Thai iced tea (cha yen): a tall glass of creamy orange iced tea with a white milk float and condensation on the glass.

About this recipe

Sweet, creamy iced tea in its signature orange hue, poured over ice and finished with milk — a ubiquitous refresher at Thai markets and restaurants. The bright color of commercial Thai tea mix typically comes from added food coloring; that point is logged for transparency rather than hidden.
